CONTESTANTS... READY!

Contestants... Ready! #4 is full of indie rock interviews and reviews, including a rare Boredoms tête-à-tête. More DTPed than most of our local offerings, well written and enjoyable, this zine has a hefty reviews section that has some particularly accurate words on new underground releases.

Editor Joe Tunmer launched the first four issues in Brighton but is now studying Film Studies in our neighbouring resort of Bournemouth. Issue 5 reaches us in Joe’s ‘little gift’ format: eight tiny booklets in a hand made card folder, each booklet in a handwritten style, meticulously double stapled and slipped inside the package. You can read about Yo La Tengo, Lamb Chop, Trans Am and many more.
