RIGSBYIssue three of the bi-monthly Rigsby, at 60 fat A5 pages, has interviews with Surfin' Lungs, Ignite and The Joy Killer and a fantastic Peacehaven and Telscombe Cliffs punk/ hardcore/ farm-core scene report worth the cover price alone. Telscombe is apparently so happening that even Jello Biafra has bought a cliff top holiday home! Issue four of Rigsby features Gas Huffer, Snap-Her and Dancing French Liberals of '48, who used to be The Gits before the tragic murder of their singer. Issue five is the Old Gits issue. Apart from Descendents, DOA and other aging punkers, it has Hong Kong action movies, catering-core recipes, words on last summers' troubles in Northern Ireland and endless other stuff. Issue 6 has Lunachicks, Battalion of Saints, Dr Strange and tonnes more of the usual. Issue 8 features Exene Cervenkova, Scared of Chaka alongside some yummy recipes, personal musings, rants, politics, reviews and laughter 'and all the usual crap you've come to expect from this somewhat shabby publication', in their own words. Rigsby issue ten
is a massive compilation of local punks' top tens, views
and reviews and is the last issue of this popular title.
The Just One Life kids will apparently be launching into
other self-publishing projects and are already putting
out a monthly newsletter promoting local independent gig
listings and news.
